Beasley Fire Captain Brent Tipple Honoured by Nelson Police Board

Nelson Daily - Two local volunteers were recently honoured by the Nelson Police Board in ceremony.

Mayor John Dooley, Chair of the Nelson Police Board, and Chief Constable Wayne Holland were present to honour presented West Kootenay/ Boundary Crime Stoppers Founding Member and Board Chair Jack Fisher and Reserve Constable Brent Tipple with Police Board Certificates of Appreciation for their ongoing and outstanding performance in their volunteer positions within Crime Stoppers British Columbia. 

Fisher thanked Chief Constable Wayne Holland for providing Crime Stoppers office space within Nelson Police headquarters.
 
In 2012 Fisher and Res. Cst. Tipple contributed to assisting police investigators province-wide to receive 9,201 anonymous tips.

The information allowed officers to make 425 arrests; clear 644 cases; lay 488 charges; recover 40 weapons, recover $1,704,311 in property and seize $21,607,767 in drugs.
